Off Topic...Three Card Poker

Howdy

I am a stone cold 9/6 JOB player. Every once in a while I get the itch to
take a break from the focused routine and try something completely different for
a short time de version from a creeping monotony of playing only one low
volatile game.

At Trump Plaza in AC they offer Three Card Poker as one of a variety of
table games. I heard it is a fun game and easy to learn. I remember playing it as
a kid along with many other "kid" poker card games.

When I googled it I was somewhat discouraged by the potential house edge
ranging from close to 3% up to over a ghastly 7 plus depending on the pay table.

My question is has anyone tried their 'luck" at the game or is it just to
hard to beat and a waste of time?

Same here (low volatile VP player with occasionaly TCP and Let It
Ride itch). To satisfy my urge I always just WATCH the games. I like
finding side by side tables for more action. It seems to me that
folks blow through money faster than I ever do, even when I play
dollar JOB. The biggest thing I don't like is that your hand will
win different amounts depending on the dealer qualifying. I want the
fixed paytables of VP. Also, I don't think the "jackpot" (at $5) of
$230 is worth risking $15.

when it 1st came out with the flush paying 1 more unit than now was
decent game. Now not worth it. Q-6-4 minimum hold hand but the held
hand may be empty I'm afraid.
