I agree that there are teams. There was a team at Suncoast that used to play poker there. There also was a group that played at the Gold Coast that was run by some guy that always was listening to his iPod. Some of the members of these teams appear to have shown up at the Palms but I haven't seen the exchange of cashout tickets like I saw at the other casinos.
