I will be, within next month, moving to Las Vegas. Per State
website, the ONLY acceptable means of proving Financial
Responsibilty, as to a motor vehicle, is by carrying Liability
Insurance coverage.
In all other States, as best I am aware, such proof may also be
accomplished by posting bond, in an amount equal to minimum required
coverage amount.
"Seems logical" that, were an individual to offer to post such bond,
and bring legal action to require that the State refrain from
enforcing its liability-coverage requirement, such individual might
well prevail.
Is anyone aware of a relevant case/decision?
