Off Topic: MESA Grill opinions

Any opinions from those who have eaten at Bobby Flay's MESA Grill would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dick Smith

You must be very fond of southwestern spices -- chiles and whatever else --
to enjoy dining there. Everything, and I mean everything is heavily spicy,
including dessert and salad. Too much for me, and I won't eat there again.
The good news is that the restaurant is open for lunch, unlike most of the
other fine dining establishments at Caesars Palace LV.

I think ending the drug war is one of the most beneficial things government
can do to help the country recover from this economic crisis.

Cogno

It's really Southwestern/Thai in terms of the spicing. Flay is annoying, but he knows food, no doubt. Yes, if you don't like it hot, you won't like the place.

A friend brought me there recently.

One important thing to keep in mind -

The tables are so close together that one will literally rub elbows with one's neighbors, and there is no way to have a private conversation.

This to me is extrememly uncomfortable, and keeps me from returning.

Two adjacent tables for 2 are basically one table for 4 - there is barely enough room between the tables to be able to pass between, and no more.

If one wishes to have a private conversation, be prepared to use a foreign language, or write notes on napkins.

If you're happy sharing your conversation with those sitting on both sides of you, or if you enjoy eavesdropping, then this is the place.

IMO, there's no excuse for this (except greed, of course).

The food is always excellent, and the service is very good. Many will disagree with me, but I find the prices very reasonable also. As a professional chef that knows food very well, for what you get and the quality, the pricing is very good.

We always make it a point to have either lunch or dinner there.

I agree, the value there is best by far of all the quality restaurant at Ceasars.

Highly disappointed that nobody took the bait on your "ANY opinions" non
sequitur.

Agreed 100% with your sentiment, btw.

I think Cogno did...took me a few minutes to figure out what the heck he was
talking about....then my brain finally engaged! Got a chuckle after that!
