Off Topic: Best Mexican on The Strip

I will be Traveling to Vegas on business in Feb. I love authentic Mexican but will not have a car and will be 'stuck' on the strip.

Any suggestions on where I can get 'good mexican' on the Strip (please don't suggest I get a car, it's not possible).

Thanks for all your help!

I was going to suggest Ricardo's in the MGM Grand. But I checked the casino website and it isn't listed. Too bad, we liked the place (several years ago).

In the paper this morning there was an article about a new "mexican" restaurant on the strip, named Cabo Wabo Cantina. Owned by rock star Sammy Hagar. I'll bet they also sell Cabo Wabo Tequila. Outdoor dining facing the strip in good weather. Address is 3663 Las Vegas Blvd. It was formerly Trader Vics. The chef is Dustin Paris, from Pappasito's Cantina in San Antonio, Texas, so it sounds like Tex-Mex. Have not been there but it sounds promising, and reasonably priced.

Personally, my favorite Mexican place is across the street from the Red Rock Casino (way off the strip), named Agava. Well worth the drive.

Depends what you mean by "good." And "Mexican." Typically I'm unenthused by casinomex. OTOH, Haven't been there in years, but I always liked Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Another one that is doing some interesting things that I've tried a couple of times recently is Dos Caminos in Palazzo.

There is a Cabo Wabo Cantina at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe. A fun place to have a meal, but the food is mediocre.
The food is like any of the chain restaurants across the country, absolutely nothing special.

I personally like Gonzalez Y Gonzalez inside NYNY. The General burrito is a real gut buster. The 2010 American Casino Guide ( about $12 ) can save you $6 with their free Margarita coupon.
If you take the free shuttle from Bills to Gold Coast - Walk across the street to the Palms where they have Guarduno's. The 50% off coupon from LVA can save you up to $50 from the meal there.
