Off Topic: Best 'Feast' Buffet?

If you had Free Food Comps for any 'Feast Buffet', which would you go to?

Thanks Again!

I like the seafood buffet on Friday nights at Santa Fe, as they have
all you can eat crab legs. Same for Green Valley Ranch, as they have
crab legs every day. Otherwise, my next favourite after that is Red
Rock. Avoid Palace Station. I think Boulder Station was OK, but not
great. Can't speak for any of the other Station buffets.

When I ate at buffets, long ago, I considered GVR one of the worst I had eaten at. I only tried Red Rock on opening night at the pre opening VIP event. It wasn't bad but don't know if it is still the same. The others I never dared to try. I would try Red Rock if anything, the dining atmosphere was at least nice.

Different tastes for different folk.In my opinion, Red Rock best, followed by GVR, Sunset.]Poorest were Palace and Boulder Station. Will try Aliante tonight.
There was a recent LV Advisor poll that Idisagreed with completely. I guess you must have votedbecause I was surprised GVR was rated so low.

They have raised their prices 2X-3X since their opening, but it has a large variety of nice dishes, some free wine, good ice cream & desserts. Did Red Rock in late Dec 2009 or early Jan 2010.

My favorite buffets overall:

Price-no-object (e.g. comps) - not in order:
   Wynn
   Paris
   Red Rock
   Bally's & Rio (I haven't eaten at either in a long time)

For specific items:
Planet Hollywood - for middle-eastern grill, the seafood is VERY awful
   Golden Nugget - for pudding
Bellagio - "gourmet buffet" every Friday and Saturday night that includes Kobe beef, venison and buffalo (I've only tried the Bellagio buffet once, and not on gourmet nights).
      http://www.lasvegasdirect.com/topbuffet.html

Price-conscious buffets:
Orleans - Prime Rib is awesome (Even better is the aged prime rib at Prime Rib Loft)
   Main Street Station

I got food poisoning at the Mirage buffet when eating late (2009). Beware (or go early).

i've eaten at all eight stations buffets in the last year, and for the
non-crab-eater there's not much to distinguish them, with the single
exception of palace.

palace's buffet is inedible. there is literally almost nothing there
that i would be willing to eat. on the couple of occasions i've been
there to talk with friends, i drank soda, ate a couple of dinner rolls
and a dish of ice cream, then snuck out afterwards to get a sandwich
from subway.

boulder's buffet was completely redone a little over a year ago. i
wonder if the people rating it as worst have been there since the
revamp. if anything it seems a little above average in keeping fresh
food out there during slow periods.

cheers,

five
