Ode To The Poser Pro

It was just after sup they were gamblin' it up
At the ya'll come back casino
For all to see the lady next to me
Was playin' a game called Volkeno
I was doin' the same but on a poker game
Tryin' to make a royal flush
But in the game it pays the same
So I'll take a joker royal flush
On the row just over a gamblin' rover
Lost and got up to leave
And then I seen his gamblin' machine
Return to the menu screen
The games were the same but something looked strange
At least from my faraway view
So I walked on over to the row just over
To see if I could get a clue
On the top of the screen of the gamblin' machine
Sat a brand new Joker game
A meter was runnin' to add to the funnin'
But for me it's all the same
A new game to play if I find an overlay
On this game called Joker's Vault
But it can't be sized and fully analyzed
On all that software I bought
No hill for me because you see
I ain't no poser pro
I'll leave the floor and hit the door
With all the casino's dough
There ain't no doubt I can figure it out
Don't even need paper or pen
When it comes to a play I'll find a way
I'm the best that's ever been
So I went to work on the gamblin' math dirt
But not like a poser pro fumbler
It was time for me to crunch and see
What was my playable number
There's different configurations across the nation
I don't know what yours will be
But here I can say I got a play
When the meter builds to three
It's a one joker game....a two joker game
But that don't make me a clown
Win 8 out of 10 when I'm in
And I'll take the meter down
I've rode freight trains through the Idaho rain
Not knowin' where I'm bound
I'm a hard ass tramp from the labor camps
Nothin' gets me down
That was then, this is now
I'm flush and good to go
Yeah, I'm doin' swell but I came from hell
And I ain't no poser pro

Micky, that is GREAT !!

I LOVED IT. Thanks for the treat!! Annie

Annie, for me truth is stranger than fiction. I do mix fiction with fact. I know what I want to be, I know what I have been. I know what my mind tells me I should be. But I will arrive on a golden shore. And there is a video keno game in Montana called Volkeno.

Hi Mickey,

Where are you usually in Montana?

We just got home from driving through the state - stayed in Glacier and then in Red Lodge. I was surprised to see "casinos" in every town, several of them. Of course they didn't look like casinos that we are used to in California or Vegas - didn't end up going in any of them - but it was hard to imagine they would be able to pay off any significant win, they were so small and most were rundown if you know what I mean.
Are those all Indian casinos? Do they play poker in there?

Hey, Val. There are poker games in Montana, but a guy has to be highly selective. I mostly play Montana no-limit. That's a misnomer because Montana law is no pot bigger than $300. It's mostly played with a single $1 or $2 blind. These kids here ship it on any two. That don't scare me. I actually love it. But what does scare me is the big rake here. $4 and $5 rake. And no discount when the game gets short handed.

The Indians here are the dumbest I've ever seen. They're even dumber than the New Mexico Indians. They have a standing offer from me. $100,000 a year consultants fee-20 year contract. I'll show 'em how to get filthy rich in the gamblin' business. This is how stupid they are. There is Class III gambling in every bar in Montana. But what do the Indians have? They got Class II gambling. Is that stupid or what? Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

I was up in Polson last year talkin' to there dumb asses. They told me if I kept calling them stupid they would throw me off the reservation. I told 'em they don't have to throw me off the reservation. I'm throwing myself off the reservation because I can't stand to look at there dumb ignorant asses. They can pay the $100,000 or they can stay broke.

I never expected to find any plays here. But I did. You can't run it on software. You have to do some heavy duty math to figure it out. I ain't gettin' rich here. It's a function of how hard I work but a good year here is about $50,000. But a funny thing happened to me on my way to Australia. I'm actually happy here with these Montucky idiots. I dread the day everything dries up and I have to go back to Nevada. Well, I don't really dread it. I just don't want to do it. Next month will be 4 years since I put a foot in Nevada.

You see those casino signs everywhere here. A liquor or beer and wine license can have up to 20 machines. But some joints bill themselves as a casino when they have only 1 machine. I have to run a route to make money here. I don't tag any one joint to hard. They're Mom and Pop operations and I don't want to break 'em. On a given day I could be in Great Falls, Helena, Butte, Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Missoula, Hamilton, Kalispell, Whitefish, or Havre.

There's a poser pro workin' the eastern half of the state. He followed me all around Nevada for years. Then he followed me to Montana. He's a disrespecful SOB. I got him pullin' his hair out right now tryin' to figure out Joker's Vault. But he can't do it without me. That jerk has made hundreds of thousands of dollars from my knowledge; it's probably in the millions by now.

He disrespected my friends one time to many. His dumb ass is on his own now.
