October 7 Mohegan Trips report

Hi,
I was closed out of the tournament but did notice all of the VP machines that were set-up for the tournament. Do you know if they kept them there after the tounament and the denom and pay tables?
Thanks
Joel

Recently stamped Sachem wife invited to $50K VP tournament on Sunday.
I'd say there were about 250-300 people. Three sessions with that
strange elimination system MS has for slot tournaments. Pretty sure
this was their first VP tournaent. Fast 9/6 JB with 20 minute
rounds. Wife gets eliminated in second round but one person got a
Royal on the first round and got eliminated on next round. Imagine
getting a Royal and not qualifying for anything - which is probably
why I don't see this elimination system in Nevada.

Food offered in tournament area (At the bar area next to Cabaret)
was very good. No crab legs or shrimp but excellent custard pie.
Those of us that do this gambling thing seriously can get kind of
used to being wined and dined. I have learned to stay away from the
bulk foods and focus on one thing like that above custard pie.

Saw Little Anthony and Imperials at Wolf Den on Saturday night.
Reserved seats up close. Excellent show-4 guys in vary their late
60's!
Saw Fab Four on Saturday at Cabaret Theater. Seats up close.
Excellent show. Maybe too much of the 1965 days rather than
the "later" freaky years. "Ed Sullivan" did a great job.

Gambling - Up $1K - first win in four trips to MS.
$45K through $1 Pickem. 2 quads and one Straigh Flush - 9,000 hands.
So, short 2 quads but 4 times better on the Straigh Flush. Did well
with Full Houses - twice normal.

Sachem comment - One member noted a few days ago; Sachem offer
possbile test if MS can entice more action. Very True (Dangerous).

Joel,
On Monday morning they were there but out of service. Another VP
tourney was going to start that day with $25K in prizes. Time will tell
if the machines are going to remain. Let's hope for the best!

I played in the tournament last night and noticed that the machines
did not have card readers. I think they are probably tournament only
machines. Maybe they will add the card readers...we shall see.
