Observations on VPFree

I've been on this group for a while now. I want to make sure I don't break proper etiquette. So, as dictated by some members, not all 1600 or so, let's see if I have this right.

1. Don't post about smoking, unless discussing a fireplace.

2. Don't post about auto mechanics, unless you own a Chevy.

3. Don't post personal messages, use private email so that the spouse won't find out.

4. Don't post anything questioning WinPoker because it is the "Bible" of VPFree.

5. Don't ask questions [newcomers] that can be found in the database as you will be severely dealt with.

6. Don't vary from "perfect strategy" because you can't win.

7. Don't post quoting any numbers without carrying it out to the 9th decimal point.

8. Don't post too many messages as people get tendonitis using the delete key.

9. Don't NOT post, because lurking is a social sin.

10. Don't eat while posting because that is a non-VP activity.

11. Don't complain about casino comps, as "big brother" is watching.

12. Don't complain about casinos not providing a 401K plan to VP Players, it is tacky.

13. Don't brag about excessive winnings, no one believes you anyway.

14. Don't complain about losses, as no one cares since it happens to them all the time.

15. Don't question the mathematics of anyone that uses the words "standard deviation, ER, or EV".

16. Don't post anything that is not directly regarding VP. Posts about Dick Cheney are permitted because they qualify under the "VP" rules.

17. Don't enjoy yourself, this is a serious forum with no room for Tom Foolery. [There is room however for Tom Simms the moderator]

18. Don't use alias names. It's too hard to bitch at someone who keeps changing their identity.

19. Don't post arguments with yourself [using multiple alias names SEE RULE#18] in order to be sure you win the point.

20. Don't make posts advertising any products you might be selling unless they are related to VP. [I will soon be releasing my custom made gloves for VP players who still use coins.] Dealers Welcome, Se Habla Espanol, must be 21 years, no sales to minors without an adult's approval, no refunds.

Once you have read and committed the above rules to memory you may proceed, with extreme caution, and make posts. Have a nice day and RF's to all of you!

LOL, that's hilarious. BTW, when will the gloves be available? &
how much for S & H?

Harrah's Tahoe used to have free gloves if you asked. One size fits all and
for left handed glove, the logo was on the palm. Good for liners in ski
gloves.

LMAO - this one made my day.

- but since those gloves are free from most casinos, don't expect to
get rich with your new venture. (Hit a LOT of Royals instead!)

As Leonardo DiCaprio (playing Frank Abagnale Jr in "Catch me if you
can...") said as a fake doctor : "I CONCUR" DO you concur?
haha....great remarks. Sort of like a David Letterman's top ten,
instead it's a 'top 20' things about vpfree.......

But seriously, vp should be FUN, although there is a serious
(and well founded math/poker odds side to it).

PS - I got one of those Harrah's slot gloves a LONG time ago, and I
recall seeing rows of elderly ladies with blackened, dirty ones still
dropping those clanging silver dollars into the slots.
My how times have changed ticket technology - it's the way to go.

PPS - Add mugs, cards, beads, keychains, and other 'gifts' to that
list of goodies.
Where would we all be if we weren't 'attached' to our vp machines with
those keychain bungee 'lifelines'?

i.e. - If you see someone 'attached' via bungee cord- don't bother
them.
They are in perfect sync with their vp-machine as some kind of
new siamese-symbiote (sp?)....

Martin.
