I just got my 7th royal flush last week since I have
started playing video poker only 4 months ago (2-3
times per week). I am sure that it is mostly due to
luck since the number does seem pretty high to me. I
am curious to know how many RF's most players get on
average.

I have been playing draw poker on the internet for 2.5 years, virtually
everyday, sometimes for hours per day, and I have never gotten one royal, so
you are doing quite well. Needless to say, I have also never gotten a royal
at video poker, which I play much less frequently.

I've been averaging 1royal /45000 hands over the last 14 years. This is a bit higher than what I would have statistically expected (40,000). I attribute this to a royal drought at Indian CT casinos and AC where I went 4 straight years with only 2 royals. You'll find the royal droughts much more frequent than being over-royaled, so enjoy it while it lasts.

I have played at a fairly consistent rate for the last 5 years (about
100K to 150K hands/year). I went one year with no royals. This year
I have 9.
In 2004 I played approximately 350 hours and have hit only two royals, both
on $ .05 ten line machines. In 2003 I hit three royals, same amount of
play, all on single line machines. Go figure.

I am always amazed at how accurately some of ya'll
keep records:-) I am not even sure how many Royals I
have had this year, remember the last four, that might
be it! Had three, two on progressives during my 15 day
July trip. Hit the bar top coin dropper FPDW at the
Plaza that pays 4700 coins twice this year, once on
the July trip and my only Royal during my 18 day
Thanksgiving trip.
