If you were interested in "perfect play," you'd know this not to be true. For
example, in the hand KcQcAd3c4h, the redraw is worth almost 2 cents more
(when playing dollars) than the KQ, even though there are only two penalties.
There are dozens of hands with a high straight penalty and a low flush penalty
where the redraw is better than the RF2. If you are not interested in perfect
play, always holding the RF2 costs almost nothing in terms of total ER.
3 STFL, OPEN, 567s-9TJs, 2 PEN < 1 PAIR
All three of the lines in this section regarding the 3STFL were
informational only showing a hand rank order difference from FPDW to NSUD.
You cannot have a 3 card st fl draw with 2 pens and a pair in the same hand.
Really? How about 5c6c7c8h8d? Or 5c6c7c9h9d? In these hands, the pair IS both
straight penalties, yet in each case the SF3 is the superior play.
