Notes on Rob Singer and Math

strategies. What's wrong with using the best possible paytables,
even if slightly negative, and gradually increasing the variance and
denomination when needed? This is my personal approach, and I
usually play only large casinos (Harrah's, Ameristar, etc.) with
Rob's strategies (I can only progress 5 levels from 5c to $1.00 here
in Missouri due to loss limit laws in the state). I am very happy
with the results I've had and it is a lot more exciting than playing
the same denomination all the time. I do try to stick with math-
based plays using Zamzow's VP Stategy Master, however, but I'm not
going to fault Mr. Singer for wanting to play special plays if he
wants meet a certain goal. His ideas are just a baseline for what I
personally do.
Even so, I do sometimes stick with full-pay AAM and 10/7 DB (if
available) when I feel like relaxing and watching the pretty cocktail
waitresses saunter on by. Video poker is just entertainment to me;
there's TONS more money to be made in the stock market. (The US
equities market is currently valued at $22 trillion.....now how's
THAT for a big casino?!? The entire market capitalization of the
world's largest casino company, Harrah's, is a comparatively puny $8-
9 billion).
Anyway, Rob, could you please share some of what you said on
your "Singer Vision" RealPlayer video clip about machine cycles? I
am very interested in hearing your thoughts on this, but the sound
card in my computer is hopelessly misconfigured and I cannot get it
fixed (and I have Infinity speakers with my PC, what an irony!).
Thanks.

The envious clowns who post to the contrary go into tilt mode when
someone talks like that, and when they snap out of it, for those who
do anyway, they like to say I'm using an alias.

Sure, but it's gonna put these nerds into tilt!

I wrote an article on this also. I met with a friend who is a SW
engineer at one of the major game manufacturing companies last year.
I've known the guy since meeting him on a flight back from Australia
in the mid 90's (in first class--HA!-don't get jealous over that
too, 'experts' & gurus). Video poker machines are programmed to run
in hot & cold cycles, with most of them being cold of course. They
retain their randomness at the same time. I was given (purposely) no
explanation for that but was told to trust him on it. Each machine
that has more than one game and more than one denomination has
multiple programs, and they all operate under this method.

This discovery may explain some of why my win rate is so consistent--
I'm changing games and denominations all the time when I lose. Or it
may not. But one thing that happened after the article came out in
the paper--an exec. from the company contacted me and asked me not to
talk about that in the paper again. No money exchanged or threats. I
agreed out of professional courtesy, yet he would neither confirm or
deny what I wrote about. My friend is still there.

The usual total bullcrap. Unnamed informants and
secret programs.

Anybody who thinks there is a .0001 chance of this
crap being true should pass this thread on to the
gaming control board of Nevada, and ask them how
illegal it would be, if any manufacturer would be
insane enough to risk their livelihood in trying it.

That would be a felony in Nevada. Who's going to prison?
