Went to Silver Legacy Lotto weekend 10/28 - 10/30.
They gave away 4 cars & $50,000 which sounds great until you divide that by
a record 1700. Note to myself on future Lotto invites - NO MAS.
Also went to drawings at Peppermill and Gold Dust West where count was,
respectively 170 & 70. Shut out in both but at least had a much better chance.
Had first losing session at NSUD-MS 5-play at Peppermill. Had to be when I
moved up from nickels to quarters. Down $3500 in 6 hrs. Came back the next day
& regained $1800 in 1.5 hrs with ducks 4 times vs none the day before.
Stayed at Peppermill, SL and Hyatt Regency in N Lake Tahoe. Had small suite
at Peppermill using a quarterly offer vs a larger suite at SL. Liked the
Peppermill suite better. They know how to furnish rooms. SL, all I can kindly
say, is that they are better suited to mid- & low-rollers. At Hyatt, stayed in a
spa terrace room in their newest section next to the pools. Had a patio &
easy access to pools. Haven't gotten in a pool in quite a while & the weather
is too cold but If I did it would be at the Hyatt. They have heated tracks
around the heated pools and an indoor dressing area that has a swim-out pool so
you see people swimming even in the dead of winter.
Best game at Hyatt is 7/5 Super Aces (98.85%) so why go there? It's quality
& if you become a premium player, you can use your points to stay at other
Hyatt properties. I've suggested they put their casino room rate schedule on
the internet as it's often a better value than Harrahs Tahoe in terms of play
but remember that S Lake Tahoe is about 45 min away & Reno is an hr & that's
when weather is good. They didn't want to put it in on internet but they made
me a copy. If anyone is interested, email me privately & I'll give you
details on the premium player program too.
Caesars, Lake Tahoe is morphing into MontBleu but the old signs are still
up. You do get new cards but it still says Caesars. One good thing is that all
those old comp dollars are still there -- good only at MontBleu. So if you had
any comp $, you've effectively doubled them because you have that amt at
Caesars Entertainment and the same at MontBleu. I left $600 in there hoping that
would happen so it was a good bet. Also the restaurants are changing which
is a good thing not that it was bad but menu had become very stale.
Machine inventory changes:
Atlantis, the 2 SpinPokers with Super Aces in Skyway Terrace is gone.
Caeasars Tahoe slot floor had over half the machines removed with just a large bare
spot in center of slot floor. Gone are the Pick'Ems & couldn't find any
full-pay JBs but who knows what might come back.
