This is not a full trip report. Please note also, that I did no full
review of any casino I visited. I just checked on the games in the
database, I was interested in.
Notes on casinos in chronological order:
Slots-A-Fun:
The bank of (5) Aces and Eights resets at 50000 coins for the
sequential royal, not at 60000 as listed in the database notes.
No, I didn't hit it despite drawing to a 4 card seq. royal 2 times.
Actually I've never hit a royal on the strip despite playing approx.
200.000 hands there.
Main Street Station:
The (6) FPDW still were there. Received 49 scratch cards totaling $114
for an average of $2.33. Hit another royal there. That's 9 royals at
MSS in my last 200.000 hands there. MSS is my lucky casino !!!
Edgewater/Laughlin:
Will post a note on vpfree_laughlin.
Vegas Club:
The (3) Downtown Deuces were there as listed in the database.
Somebody tried to steal my rental car from the parking garage, but was
not able to bypass the antitheft device. They left the car unusable
(drilled out ignition) in a corner of the garage. All they got were
some pretzels from the trunk. As I had insurance on the car, I didn't
loose any money, but I lost 6 hours until everything was said and
done. Why would anyone try to steal a Dodge Neon ? And it had the
antitheft badges in the windows.
Nevada Landing:
The (3) FPDW near the gift shop are were they always were. I didn't
play them, because I hate that very busy and smoky section. The bank
of (4) FPDW has very bad screens. I'd describe their location as "next
to the sports book". I never found the keno, but I wasn't looking too
hard. There are no FPDW near the south entrance but there is a bank of
(5) FPDW near the north entrance. They are old slant tops like the
other 2 banks, but the screens are better than on the bank near the
sports book. This may have been mentioned before: The double points on
Tuesdays are gone. My limited play there earned me $3 in cashback as
well as $3 in comps. So the comp rate might match the cash back rate
for playing FPDW. The boothling didn't know anything about the comp
rate. Quote: "It depends on a lot of things. Only it knows about it."
(pointing to the computer screen)
Wynn:
Signed up and earned 50 points on a weekday to get the 2 buffets.
Learned the hard way that these can't be split into 2 single buffets.
So I only got 1 buffet. This is still a good deal. Especially as I hit
4 Aces playing 10/7 DB @ .25 while earning those 50 points. According
to the boothling the 500 points buffets can be split.
Very subjective note: When I was there, I found 2 slots club boothes.
Both had long lines. When signing up, one booth had had 3 persons in
it, but only one serving customers and the other had 5 persons in it
and only 2 serving customers. When redeeming the buffet, the situation
was a little better. But I have to admit, that the boothling was
extremely polite ...
Terrible's:
Played there during their birthday promo. I knew it was a good promo
for nickel play, but as it turned out, it was a great promo for
anybody willing to outwait the looooong line at the slots club, as the
5x points were unrestricted points.
New Frontier:
Inventory looked unchanged. Met list member Jeff Cole and his wife
(Hi, enjoyed meeting you again.) Special note: Avoid this place during
NFR week !
