If I stepped on some toes, I meant to but it was for a very select group.
When making a general post as I did, in the interests of brevity, you leave
most of the qualifiers out in the hopes people will know who it was intended
for.
For clarification, this post was intended for the small minority of lurkers
who mine websites like this and proceed to savage every good play they can find
either by themself, by team play or group rotation.
Out-of-town lurkers will never get to use info posted on really good plays
other than for filing since by the time they hit town:
--It will be gone because the promotion or the machines will never get enough
non-pro play to give the casino a fair return.
--If it's still alive, out-of-towners will never get close enough to play it
because it will be locked up. This particular tactic frustrated me so much at
Fiesta (before it became part of Stations), I stopped going there since
everything good was always taken and the locals/pros kept it locked up on a
rotation. What was more infuriating was that management knew this was happening & did
nothing to break it up.
--A long-term effect will be fewer good promotions/pay schedules in the
future as casinos shy away from plays that attract the sharks.
In either case the net result is the same. YOU don't get a chance to use the
information.
I suppose I sound like a self-appointed hall monitor. It's not a role that
I'm comfortable with or want but I'd feel even worse if I just stand by & watch
this happen & say nothing about it.
For most of us participation (actively or as a lurker) promotes a sense of
community and you will jump in when you have something to offer.
For a few, sharing is synonymous with sucker.
There, I've beat a dead horse but had to give it a few more whacks just to
make sure.
