Northern Nevada VP adventure Trip - Long

Great report Tom, thanks! FYI, you will probably get mailers from
Fandango that include deeply discounted or free room nights at the hotel next door
(it is a Courtyard/Marriott). Fairly minimal play there got me regular
offers for a while of some free play ($30), food ($30) and a $19 room.

Thanks. Yes, I did take a beating there and put some serious coin in ... which should make me an A player ...LoL.
The 20C full pay deuces are comfortable bartops , empty at 10AM - there may even be a band playing behind those curtains.. but I'd rate that scene way ahead of the 'kill your neighbor for a seat' mentality and crowds you get at the Palms !
So I got a $90 steak dinner as a comp for my Nugget play , but paid $60 / night for Hardman. So if Fandango could provide a free room, it may be worth it.
But seriously, they had a nice selection of VP - not as good as Nugget , but a close second. The Nugget's big flaw is no attached rooms, the closest ones are 2 blocks away, and I had to go 3 blocks ( Hardman house ) at 1AM one night - deserted.
The Ornsby house is still a year or 2 away ( since the owner only pays his bills in cash ) - but thats going to be big to Carson City.
