no-smoking in MCcarren airport & busy airport times upcoming

Because all non-smokers are happy every time smoking is eliminated somewhere
we go on a regular basis. Then we no longer have to breathe the second hand
smoke from anyone else's cancer sticks. What's that? You will have to go
through security again? Oh boo hoo.. How sad. Brings a tear to my eye.

I am curious why a non-smoker would be so happy about the closing of a
smoking room that she/he would never use anyway. Also, as far as going outside -
that is hardly practical in any airport since you would then have to go back
through security.

I also wonder why so much reading time on this video poker site is devoted
to smoking rants.

Down right fanatical talk. And I don't smoke.

I remember clearly as a child my mom
putting out ashtrays before a party.
I said, "mom, neither you or dad smoke,
why put out ashtrays?" She told me,
"live and let live kid, you'll be happy
that way." She was right.

Sorry, but "Live and Let Live" does not mean that I should allow people
to fill my home with disgusting cigarette smoke and ashes. And, it would
not make me "happy that way" if I did that.

The only way to breathe second hand smoke in McCarran smoking lounges
would be going inside them. With all due respect, smoking in a secluded
area could afect non-smokers paranoia but not their well-being.

Unfortunately that is not true, or at least was not the last time I
was at that airport. Whenever someone opens the door to go in or
out, a major waft of dark smoke comes out ... anyone even halfway
down the hall gets a major wiff of it.

I'm an ex-smoker with chronic bronchitis and cannot take any smoke
at all ... I usually keep quiet about these things but thought this
needed to be cleared up .. one does NOT have to go into those
smoking lounges to get a lot of smoke. This may not be the case
everywhere but when the smoke is heavy and the door opens a lot,
there is a problem.
