No one's put a play on here in ages

There's an example of the difference in mindsets of a guy who isn't (I presume) in a slump versus one who is. I wouldn't even have considered doing this: I can't remember the last time I got four ducks! Keying a coupon to getting them would have made me bonkers.

My strategy was different. I just played $2 Five Play NSU until I hit
deuces and then used the coupon.

I was talking Five Play, here. You get ducks every two hours or so on
that game. And I need to play a certain amount anyway to keep my mailers
coming. I usually play on bigger machines, but to play on a $2 Five Play
machine until I got the jackpot seemed a logical thing to do. I
considered Brian's play of $2 single play. It has merit, assuming you
stop your play as soon as you get a quad. For the mailers I want, they
just aren't available for 100%-game players.

I'm behind in 2006 so for, but 2005 was my second best year ever. But my
year-to-date score has NOTHING to do with how I would play that coupon.

The fine print on the coupon I used said it was only good on the
bottom line of multi-play machines. Are they neglecting to enforce
that?

I no longer have my coupon (Shirley went around to all the
neighbors, but apparently they were scarce in our neighborhood) so I
can't confirm what the coupon says, but my deuces were not on the bottom
line.

The fine print says "On multi-hand games winner paid on ONE line only."
(Emphasis mine)

Sorry, Tom, maybe you are slowly getting to the age where you need more eye exams?? Quoting from the back of the coupon in front of me: "On multi-hand games winner paid on one line only." There is not the usual exclusion for wild-card games either.

If anything needs examined, it's my brain. My eyes have always been
hopeless. It seemed redundant for the coupon to say that a (as in
"1") 4 of a kind would earn a bonus (or I suppose it doesn't even say
that? - this is from memory) and then say that only one line on a
multi-game would qualify. Is that a good enough excuse for taking it
as meaning only the bottom line would qualify?

Hey, Tom, the older I get I have excuses for EVERYTHING - they don't have to be good - just enough to get me by most of the time!
