No Mailers - No Invite

So, I hit a $1 Royal at South Point and they didn’t send me a mailer in Aug.

Also, I hit a $1 Royal at Hard Rock and they said I’m not eligible for upcoming Slot Tournament

(Invited to July Slot tournament).

Some casinos are so short sighted. Anyone else experience similar stories?

Just to apply sense (where there is none) and logic (which seems to be in such short supply for Casino management), can their reasoning be that a person’s getting a RF and having the 40 Bennies counted out to them (it is a nice feeling!) is incentive enough for them to return? Thus, the cutting off of “other” incentives?

I certainly don’t subscribe to that reasoning, but can that be an answer?

Yes, I hit a .25 Royal at the DTG, and no mailers etc.

It is common knowledge that if you win at South Point, you don’t get a mailer.

If you continue to play and lose, you will get a mailer. The mailers are loss dependent.

Lose a lot, get a mailer. Win or lose a little you don’t get anything but the money you won.

South Point de-carded many players even though they were losing a lot!

Harrahs Lake Tahoe has cut off offers to many Southern Nevada players. Everyone who plays the 3x/5x jacks or better machines during promotions. Or the $1 progressive at Harveys. Doesn’t matter that you are losing a LOT. You are still cut off as they lowered the theorectical on the games. So you may be losing $40,000 for the quarter, but the theo says you are only losing $500. So you are no mailed since you are not losing enough.

Latest is Tuscany. Cut off bounce back free play in the middle of the month, sent out mailers, but the players were told they are invalid. Referenced their “style” of play was not acceptable. There are NO decent video poker games in Tuscany over 99.1%. Most are under 99%.

Casinos can do whatever they want and don’t really need to give you a reason. Part of the gambling risk.

It does make you feel discriminated against when you are the one cut off. But of course that is because you ARE being discriminated against.

I still think it is NOT FAIR. Especially since I am a big loser at the casinos that no mail me. Of course no one said gambling is a fair proposition.

As much as an answer as to simply presume they don’t like “lucky” players.

There’s not much in the sense of property history conveyed in the original post. If a property no-mails a player after a single royal, no matter their win/loss history to-date, it’s clearly a short sighted move.

However, if you presume a player has 200,000+ hands of play in the casino and they have failed to establish themselves as a profitable player, there begins to be cause for a bias that they aren’t likely to become a profitable player.

Looks like they are cutting even more players from the mailing list. My free play was on my card the first half of the week. No free play on my card the second half of the week. This is pretty low when a casino reneges on a mailed offers half way thru the month, but then again I understand the new promotions director is from Gold Coast.

It may have been the only time that the Gaming Commission ruled
against me when the Wynn mailed me an offer for free play and reneged.

Chris Marzotto is the director of marketing. He doesn’t seem to last very long at a casino and moves around a lot. I suggest the board needs to monitor his employment activity so we can be alerted ahead of time when he arrives at a new casino.

You definitely don’t need to be a winner at the casino to get no mailed.

As of yesterday, you can add me to the list of people who received the $240 mailer (Tuscany) for August and the casino reneged on the free play. This is not right!

Tuscany was a lot more fun when the owner was younger and more virile and his selection of Marketing Directors had no correlation with marketing knowledge. Let’s start a write in campaign to bring back Julie Hall and Wendy Perez as co-Marketing Directors!

The question is, who do you need to bribe, I mean tip, to get the mailer?

Also, one way around this no mailer stuff is to just change your address, though sometimes you need a new ID and players card as well. Nevada DMV issues no-doc “dreamers” driver’s licenses for a fee.
