No listing of Hollywood casino in Charlestown, WV?

By law West Virginia casinos have a maximum payback of 95%. I'm not
sure how they handle progressives if they have any. The machines there
are VLT's because they are run by the WVa lottery, but they are random
like Las Vegas machines.

The American Casino Guide is a good source for general information like this.

that casino has been there years before Maryland Live.
Surprised its not even listed in vpfree.
guess no good vp there?

I believe the information in the American Casino Guide is dated/wrong.

The Guide has a reference to $2 being the maximum bet and I know that is wrong.

As to the maximum payout, they may be using the theoretical (rather than expected to comply with the regulations) since they do have some 7/5 JOB and 6/5 Bonus Poker the last time I checked both of which have expected returns of greater than 95%.

You do have to be careful on VP machines in West Virginia since on many machines max bet will be more than five coins and can be twenty or twenty-five coins. (Need to look at the paytable carefully before hitting that max coin button!!)

PS The correct spelling is Charles Town, West Virginia named for George Washington's brother.

95% max payback in wv casinos?!

The original Cherokee compact with the state restricted theo returns to 98% (assuming optimal play strategy). An amendment in 2000 increased that threshold to 100%.
