We have taken several Princess cruises over the years & they have never been charged a fee to take out “markers”. We simply inserted our room/casino card in a slot or VP machine and loaded the machine with up to $3000 per day which was charged to our state room. If we wanted to get cash from our card we simply went to the cashier and told them how much we wanted converted from our card balance to cash. At the end of the cruise we simply paid our stateroom account with a credit card. We didn’t need to bring any cash from home to the cruise.
We have been charged a few percent on other cruise lines.
