I guess I'm rambling some in this post, but I think alot of
the "lower" plays, especially at the nickel level aren't posted here,
because I'm sure there's little interest from the regulars in playing
them. I'm wondering if people out there know some plays that may have
fallen thru the cracks, so to speak.

Thanks,

Dave

I bet most of the good nickel plays (99.2+%) are in the vpFREE database. My
all time favorite was the one 17/10 Loose Deuce at the Fitz. I would look
for Airport/Illinois Deuces 15/9/4/4 in nickels too, which are not listed in the
database.

If you insist on playing .25 a play you need to examine playing one coin on a
quarter game instead of the crummy nickel paytables. In most joints quarters
have the best paytables.

A royal contributes about 2% to a Jacks or Better type game. Short/One coin
would cost you 1.35% (550/800). But going from full coin 9/6 Jacks to 8/5
Jacks costs you 2.2%.

Other games, the royal is even less of a contributer.

If it's still there the lone nickel 17/10 Loose Deuce at the Fitz is
probably the best nickel play in town. It was converted from
quarters a few years ago. They kept the one machine at nickels so
they could advertise 101%+ VP. It's been moved around quite a bit
and I haven't been in Fitz in quite awhile so I don't know if it's
still there. Maybe someone else can confirm it.

It was still there (2nd floor, against wall, near keno) the first week
in February.
