The rumor is true. New marketing management has been systematically
reducing the benefits and offers at the Peppermill over the last month or so.
This is a sad state of affairs since we have enjoyed playing there for the
last 7 years averaging over $1 million coin in a year. Peppermill marketing
has also targeted individual high volume VP players and has reduced their
point accumulation rate (in our case by 75%) making it impossible to
sustain Diamond level for me and my wife (joint account). Also, the standing
free play offers that we have received in the past (for out of towners) in the
range of $800 to $1,000 per month have been eliminated and replaced with
"resort credit" in the amount of $200 per month. Needless to say, our
visits to the Peppermill are winding down and May will be our last month to
visit there.

Rumor has it that free play offers will be replaced with a resort credit
(applied to hotel folio). This follows abrupt replacement of a Mystery Free
Play Event with another event involving a resort credit, so it looks
credible.

I too have noticed a big change in marketing. I am thinking I have been recognized as an unprofitable customer (probably true!). I had been getting almost daily mailers with hundreds in free play, suite offers, etc. My lastest mailer? A calendar with only about six free weekday room nights and $10.00 in free play. My play has not changed.

Such a shame. What games are you playing? I'd hate to give up on such a wonderful property.

Well you were lucky because they have been "systematically
reducing the benefits and offers at the Peppermill" for most of us for longer than a month.

I was in Reno for the Derby/fight day. It looks like they couldn't wait to end the free play offers (what little I was getting). Punched in password on machine - $0.00, had to go to the desk to get it activated. Thought that was odd, and came home to see the new style offers for June.

RIP Peppermill
