Sounds like you've gone to the "vpFREE Photos" Directory
rather than the "Yahoo vpFREE Photos Directory".
I've been fooling around with links to the "Yahoo vpFREE
Photos Directory" and it appears that a universal link can
be done to a regular image, but not to an enlarged image.
