Hi. I've been a member for just a few weeks and have been reading the
digest with great interest. Thanks for the links as well. I have what is
probably a stupid question. Is there a better way to play the Optimum
machines at Fiesta and Stations casinos than the old Bob Dancer rules? I
know the payoffs on deuces wild are the same as with the older, single game
machines these casinos used to have, but I also know we are not doing nearly
as well with the Optimums as we used to do. Can anyone explain the
differences, if any, to this neophite?

The differences are due to luck. There is no substitute for proper play. Hang in there and your luck will even out.

Both my wife and I played a great deal at the Stations Optimum
machines and we lost an incredible amount of money playing only FPDW.
While we were playing for 4 straight days, we never noticed anyone
doing well at all. We also played at Sam's Town and the Cannery and
the results at those casinos were relatively normal. We lost over
3000 dollars over 4 days playing on the Opitmum machines. Something
strange is going on to say the least!!!!!!!
I agree. It seems to me the machines are streakier as well. With bad
streaks dominating. I did not play them much, but my wife lost over
$1700 in her last 37 sessions (1-3 hours each) and only came out
ahead 7 times. No RFs.
Clearly, this is within random fluctuations, however, I heard the
same complaint from many other people as well.
