Newbie Question- Re: New LV Hilton Slot Club Information

Just returned from LVH. My cash and comps were combined during my trip.
According to a letter available at the front desk, all the amount shown can be
redeemed for cash or by giving your players card to any outlet.
Quoting the letter,
"To earn rewards, just play all you favorite slot machines with your
<Resorts Card>. For approximately every $125 coin-in, you'll receive 1 reward
dollar. Previously, you had to play $150 to get $1.00 in cash back."

Also, I was brought in at C-3, but when I checked out there was a charge on
my bill. They told me it was my Benihana charge and that is no longer on the
C-3 plan. I had to use my comp account to take care of that, as no host was
available at the hour I had to check out.

There was a lot of construction going on, the Crystal bar gone along with
all the offices along that wall. The whole entrance is mostly roped off and
Elvis is GONE! There is more construction by the sports book, but the new poker
room is open there with daily tourneys as well as decent ring games. They are
having a "construction promotion" with girls in hard hats giving out scratch
cards. I got 4 key chains, a t-shirt and a trinket box. The guy next to me
got tickets to Manilow.

I was there for the craps tourney, and when I qualified for the next one in
April, the pit told me that they would not be offering free room
accommodations for that.

It looks like there's a lot of downgrading of the nice things LVH had to
offer. Are we sure Harrah's didn't buy this place?

Since the "previously" text quotes the .66% cb rate formerly assigned
to slot (non vp) play, I presume that under the new system it will
take $250 coin-in to earn $1 of cb/comp credit on vp play. That's a
total of .4%, a mere .07% greater than the former cb rate alone.
That's extraordinarily troubling.

Can you confirm this rate, Christy?

I played at LVH today. Since the card reader never showed my account
increasing even after playing (and watching Agassi win) for a couple of
hours I had to speak to a boothling. He told me I had $1390 coin-in and my
cash account went up $6.03 cents. I calculate that to be a CB rate of about
.43%. I played quarter pick 'em.

In my post which started this thread I listed the percentages I
actually received for video poker, .16 and .06. Neither of which
approaches .4. So even if I wished to infer .4 instead of .8, I'd
still have plenty to growl about.
