New Year's Trip

I'll be in Vegas for the week of New Year's (from Illinois and
looking to escape the recent snow!!!) Staying Downtown at Golden
Nugget, and I thought I had read a post that they have removed all
full pay from their location. True??? Planning on hitting some of
the locals places such as Palms, Fiesta Rancho, and Gold Coast. My
wife and I are night owls, and were wondering how are the crowds in
the wee hours around New Years (4-5 a.m. or so)??? Everybody have a
safe and happy New Year!!

I was at the New Year's celebration last year on Fremont Street; the
cost was $30 per person and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was worth the cost of
admission alone. See

The crowds dispersed around 1 AM, and crews were cleaning up the
debris (they shot off confetti cannons at midnight).
