New to Video Poker

First things first.

I'm new to Video Poker. So I can really use any advice you might like to
pass on.

I go up to South Lake Tahoe every year with family and friends for 10 days
in June.

During the day I try to get out for some fly fishing. But at night I'm in
the casinos
with everyone else. Instead of just throwing my money away I'd like to
learn to play
what I believe is called PERFECT Play in Video Poker.

What books, software or anything else can you recommend for someone new to
the
game, but wishing to learn to play the best he can?

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Bob Dancer presents Winpoker plus Strategy Master($30 each)

Frugal Video Poker($40)

Both of the above will teach and analyze
Frugal will also print strategies as will Strategy Master.

Joe. Beg, borrow or steal the book; "America Mensa Guide to Casino
Gambling. Winning Ways." by Andrew Brisman. Read the video poker section
and believe everything you read. The book costs about $20.00, and should
be available in any chain type bookstore. Buy the software "Bob Dancer
Presents Winpoker. Believe everything it tells you. It costs about
$30.00. Using the Win poker software, start learning how to play the
Jacks or Better game. Practice...Practice...Practice! Now some people,
like my sister-in-law, have a built in Video Poker gene and quickly
learn the game. Others, such as myself, have a more gentle learning
curve and learn the game at a slower pace. Winpoker works well in both
cases. Winpoker also has a group that you may want to join. It has been
my experience that the people in these V.P. groups and others will go
out of their way to help a newcomer over the rough spots. Good Luck.
