I found this group and have to say it is amazing how there are people
scoping out casinos to find the best video poker games to play.I just got into playing JoB at Atlantic City Harrahs Casinos (Harrahs,
Showboat, Ballys).Last night when I went I was only finding 7/5 JoB machines. I figured
that they changed the payouts because they were running a 6x
multiplier reward credit promotion for the day. This morning I found this ground and it told me to look in certain
spots for a 9/6 JoB and sure enough they were there!I just the JoB Simple Strategy on wizard of odds, and have one question
"3 to a straight flush"
Does that mean I am to play ANY straight flush draw inside and out? or
just outside draws like 789 suited?I played the $1 10 coin Max machine tonight. Played aprox 2800 hands
and Earned 2800 reward points(multiplied by 7x for their promotion
today).I lost $1400 playing though. I am assuming this is a very possible
swing when playing $10 a hand? I think I should step down and play a
$1 5 coin max machine for the time being.I hit 4 of a kind 3 times, so I figured that i was running well.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks,
Jack

Welcome,
You are on your way down the right paths...playing the best paytables,
keeping good records and tuning your game.
I assume the Wizard's simple strategy lumps all 3 card SF together. A SF can
have 0,1,2 gaps or high cards. You have recognized that each combo could
have a different value. Having a suited J-10-9 is better than suited 7-5-3 as an
example.
Generally, a high card cancels out one gap. As you study and use a more
complex strategy you will see where things change with gaps versus high cards. A
game like Double Bonus 10/7/5 gets very complicated, but AC lacks such
paytables.
A Quad happens about every 425 hands in a Jacks or Better style game, so your
session of 3 in 2800 hands fell short, but not statisically significant.

Spending $25-50 will be recouped in one real life session. My old computer
likes Winpoker, but the newer ones have interesting bells and whistles.
