The vpFREE2 video poker database shows the better video
poker that players have reported. In Reno the Atlantis and
the Peppermill seem to have the best selection but both are
known for cutting benefits for winning players.

Just returning to Atlanta from a Reno stay tonight …
Commenting first on feedback thus far, Atlantis burned my offers after just two visits for having the termerity to hit a $1 prog rf on each stay. I recommend playing there either only as a last resort, or you happen to stop in and find a very strong bank meter.
I have two Reno casinos that are on my prime recreational play list … both offer strong games at a variety of paytables, and in my experience are decent to good players. In order of preference, they are Eldorado and JA Nugget.
Look to Reno locals for stronger recommendations, but that’s my 2 cents.

I agree with Vp_Wiz…(sorta)
I’d say Grand Sierra Resort (since they just switched their program) on a point multiplier day (if you like 9/6 DDB, and Ult-X)
Also, Silver Legacy doesn’t seem to be too bad.
Can’t comment to JANugget since the buy-out, as I haven’t been back there. (But good to know Vp_Wiz)
Good to hear about the favorable paytables at Eldorado since that will be home base for me. Any ideas on how good the comps are among the adjacent properties?
There is basically only two casino companies downtown since three of the casinos have common ownership although comps are not interchangeable amongst the group – Eldorado/Silver Legacy/Circus Circus and then Harrahs. Only slight variations between their
reward programs and my guess is that they will be very close if not the same in the near future.
In my opinion the Eldorado/Silver Legacy group is fair in comps and you can view comps on kiosks. They also have better food than Harrahs. I don’t know what level of player you are but if a high level player both Eldorado and Silver Legacy will upgrade
player level based on average play rather than total play and they have a generous free buffet program for higher card levels and I have found the buffets to be good.
