New Terry & VP Pappy Article, 100% games in Detroit

The Billboard for Greektown states "Over 100% Payback on Jacks or Better Dollar Bartop with Carded Play". I filed with MGCB on 10/1/04. On 10/11/04, Greektown replied that they count the 0.498% comp rate in the payback figure. I am going to reply to Greektown and MGCB on why that is not accurate. I'll keep the group updated.

Motor City is probably talking about the NSUD w/progressive or they could be talking about Jacks or Better Multistrike although I think JOB MS is still a little below 100%, with cb.

MGM is currently running double points so the pick 'em there is a good play.

John, Pappy, and all:

     I'd be highly interested to see how Greektown would prove that
nearly 1/2% comp rate. That's awfully high for a Detroit venue.

     I haven't seen the 100% promotion for Motor City anywhere, but
this one I wouldn't have a problem with because that NSUD progressive
is frequently above 100%, particularly if you factor in the cashback
rate. If memory serves correctly, 9/6 JoB Multistrike is about 99.7%
with perfect Multistrike strategy. It would still be negative
even with cashback.

     The MGM double points thing was an August and September
promotion. Unless they started running another one that I am not
aware of, the double points is over. It wasn't a true double points
deal anyway. You got your "regular" points, plus an equal amount
in "FreePlay" to be used in October. FreePlay means you play it
through at least once, you can't simply take the $$$ and run.
