New Table Game from LEDGaming 7-14-21

Hello friends on vpFREE.

I am an occasional visitor here as my company Leading Edge Design is the group that created Multi-Strike Poker, Big Split Poker and Ace Invaders among other games.

We have introduced our first table game (cards, felt and a live dealer) and it is currently operating at the Grand Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The game is called 7-14-21 and it is played a little like Pai Gow Poker breaking up 6 cards into 2-card hands using Blackjack scoring.

We have a playable online version of this game (free, no wagering) at http://7-14-21.com

If you like the game (and we think that many of you will) then please consider joining our Facebook group which you can reach from the same page (or better yet, put a notice in your Facebook status).

Thank you for taking the time to check this out.

What is the theoretical house edge on this? From playing it feels
significant as the loss when both sides bust is more common than normal BJ
on the "7" hand.

Huge house edge, for sure.

The only way to catch up is to hit the big jackpot, so you
end up being stuck and sitting there hoping...

At least the Royal Flush is only a point or so in VP.

I have the feeling their jackpot is 5%ish.

And if it's not, this game is about as good for the player
as Keno or Bingo at a charity fundraiser.

Thanks for checking out the game.

Actually, the house edge on the base game when played properly is about 2% using the current paytable.

The key is to use a strategy that is roughly opposite of the dealer. First make sure you don't bust your 7 hand (the dealer busts the 7 hand slightly more than 70%). Then, play the very best 14 hand you can without busting the 7 hand (this often means playing something like a 2, 3 or 4 in the 7 hand to get the 14 hand near the top. If it means not busting the 7 hand, play your ace down their notwithstanding how much you want to use it to make a 21.

The "catch-up" you describe below would only apply to the bonus bet. You should be able to play the base game relatively flat using the proper strategy.

The bonus bet does have a higher house edge but the base game is a 98% game.

We appreciate your comments.

Well Larry, I played some of your LED creations including Multi-Strike, but my favorite casino game was Cash King Checkers. My last CKC play was at Ramada Express in Laughlin...RIP. For pinball it could have been that Space Lab game?

I know you have helped out the Pinball Hall of Fame (PHofF) with their website for years. Google "pinball hall" and it pops right up. Scroll to the bottom and you find a hot link for "LED Gaming".

http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

My question is why isn't the PHofF updating their website since they moved down the street into a bigger building closer to the Strip on Tropicanna? I think VP and Pins go hand-in-hand, both games of skill.

BS-

Thank you for the comments.

There are still 3 Cash King Checkers in operation. Two at Rampart, One at Cannery. All in Las Vegas.

We have given Tim small amounts of help including hosting the Web site. Both sites ( www.pinballmuseum.org and www.pinballhall.org ) seem to have some information to point you to the new location but neither has really created a site that gives you a feel for the new place. Both sites are ultra part-time gigs for volunteers.
