You all could be right about 100%+ players bringing in their family
and friends, but my perception is that the wife or husband will also
be a 100%+ player, as it's sort of a group thing to both learn.
The post about the 98% slot machines being just as used as the others
just indicates that it takes a certain skill or knowledge to
understand what the payouts are in video poker. Casinos generally
don't want the people who understand, and those who don't understand
won't care if the casino has 100%+ games or not. The question is, can
the 100%+ generate a profit for the casino? If all he/she does is use
comps and play 100%+ machines, then the casino is better off not
having that person.
One strategy might be to have a VERY few number of 100%+ machines,
like 4 or 5. That way, those people who are drawn in will have to
play the other non 100%+ games while waiting. I don't know how many
would just leave, but time is precious to most.
