The Amigo Jackpots at the two Fiestas also went on hiatus after they were last hit.
I don't know what they are planning for these new Jumbo Jackpots but I don't find the whole promotion at all attractive. I would much rather they put the money into better mailers and paytables. The October mailers I just received aren't competitive with most of the other local mailers I get.

Just noticed that Sunset Station no longer has a Jumbo
Jackpot
listed, but the other Stations still do. Sunset's
website indicates"A New Jumbo Jackpot...
Coming Soon
A New Way To Win A Bigger Share
More Often"Sunset was where the last jackpot was hit (Sep 15th) and
apparently
they didn't start a new one after that (this probably
isn't news to
LV locals). I would guess that the other casinos will also
not
initiate new jackpots once their current jackpot is hit.The new casino specific jackpots have only been around for
6 months
or so. The original jumbo jackpot existed for years before
it was
changed. So, it begs the question of "why change so
quickly?". I do
see that the jackpot payouts for the last 6 months under
the new
system are ~$2.3M whereas for the last 6 months under the
old system
the payouts were ~$1.5M, which I would guess is causing the
change.
Of course Stations doesn't list how much is paid out to
other players
whenever a jackpot is hit, so it's impossible to tell
how much the
promotion is really paying out.Has anyone heard what the new jumbo jackpot program may be?
or just
how there will be "A New Way To Win A Bigger Share
More Often"?
