postcard from Station Casinos. Here's the promo: There are 72 8/5
Double Double Bonus machines that are linked throughout the six
Station Casinos. Beginning at 10am on Monday, January 19th; The
first person to hit a Royal Flush in Diamonds will get not only the
progressive royal but a ONE TIME bonus to the first Diamond Royal of
$75,000. How bad is the play?

I believe that I saw this on my recent trip. If I remember
correctly, the one time bonus was for a sequential royal. The pay
for the sequential royal was 25,000 and the sign (which looked pretty
permanent over the game) indicated that the first sequential royal
would receive a bonus of 75,000 (one time) for a total of 100,000.

Yes Larry, they have those at most of their places permanently.
It's a bonus for left to right only.
The previous poster was referring to a special promotion starting
January 19. 9 DDB each at 7 properties...all tied to a bonus of
$75K for the first Diamond Royal.
The post card I got didn't indicate 8/5...but that falls in line
with some of the Station's Double Double machines I've seen. Then
again, I've also seen some of their progressive DDB at 7/5, too. I
haven't gone to the place to see what machines they are referring.
Sounds good...but with only 9 machines available at each property, I
sure am not going to stand in line to play.

advertising a promo that's going to last 4-5 hours at most. Are you guys

Went over to GVR today and these Power Play Link machines are in-
fact the 8/5 DDB with the $25k sequential royal bonus and the One
Time Bonus of any royal in sequence, left to right of an additional %
75K. It's been over two years since those machines were activiated
and no one has it that left to right sequential yet.
So, my question to marketing will be, "if the person getting the
diamond royal happens to get it sequentially, will they also get the
$25k bonus and if it's left to right, the one time bonus of $75k.
The quads and royal are also progressive and the royal today was at
$1,167.
This is gonna be a big payday to someone.
