Just received a letter from Station Casinos seeking my support for
their new casino on Charleston (w/300 foot hotel tower). I'm was
never a big player there, so suprised to get the letter. They asked
me to e-mail various key people that I support the project. I'm
curious how others feel about their new casino? Is it too tall and
too big?

There are 250 ft office towers going in in the same area. The Stations
project is just the current thing for the Summerlin residents to complain
about.

I don't see why Stations Casino should be exempt from the 250 foot
maximum. The suncoast is only 130 feet. 300 feet is about the height
of the MGM Grand. Also,I believe there are 4 other sites zoned for
casinos near that area--if the stations are allowed to build a
casino that height--others will want to also. I think residents are
afraid(in my opinion rightfully so) of another Strip in Summerlin.
