So the courts have spoken and a few weeks have passed. What new smoke free
VP have you found in Nevada?
I just did a trip to Laughlin. Here are my observations:
The Diamond Lounge at Harrahs is smokefree now. Sassy Sue's bar in the
Pioneer does Happy Hour food, but still is smoking. Rumor has it the Losers Lounge
in the Riverside will not do food anymore during football season to allow
smoking.
But the Colorade Belle, a lame duck of MGM/Mirage, had signage and flyers
everywhere regarding the new law. They took a very aggressive interpretation of
the law too.
All of "D" deck upstairs where the restaurants are located is now smoke free.
So the four in-house restaurants and the two fast food joints are linked by
a smoke free corridor. The south end of the main casino, by the Boiler Room
is now smoke free. The law states that the pathways to restaurants are
non-smoking and MGM/Mirage took a broad brush to their casino.
So now you can play good bartop VP in the Boiler Room and the Mississippi
Lounge restaurants in a smokeless environment. Included in the playable VP are
slant-top Game Kings near the Boiler Room and any VP on "D" deck. So this
means 10/7 DB, FPDW, 9/6 Deluxe, 8/5 Bonus are available, some quarters on royal
meters and others up to a $1.
I tried to keep this post objective...just the facts mam. Please post other
Nevada VP opportunities that are now smokeless. One curious notion is the
Chicago Brewing Company in the Four Queens with their pizza, homebrews and cigar
bar. What's up?
