New Scot Krause VEGAS VALUES Column
This is the second death report I've had to give in the last week or so - maybe that is a look at the future as we get older.
Bill Perrin died very early this morning. He had been in the hospital for 2 months and gone through 3 surgeries and was facing another - we knew his condition was not good, but his death came suddenly - although Katy was able to get to his side for the last 20 minutes.
Many of you will remember Bill as one of the first members of Skip's list. Many of us knew him as "The Ambassador," since he was in the State Department for many years and was the U.S. Ambassador to Cyprus at one time. He was a very avid and skilled video poker player - and up until he went into the hospital, although very frail, you could find him many days at his favorite Joker machine at the Palms.
Katy will be going back to Texas in a couple of weeks to sell their house there, and then she will come back to their condo here in town (the one right beside us) for her permanent residence. They both considered Las Vegas their "real" home!
