Advantage rent a car is tacking on a $2/day "highway assistance fee". It
doesn't show up when you book it like taxes and facility, and is in addition to
the confirmed rate. Apparently, Advantage figures that their maintence is so
shoddy that you'll need a tow-in.
Fortunately, CA is one of the more consumer-friendly states so I suppose once
I complain to Dept of Consumer Affairs, it'll come off pretty fast.
Since most consumers are now wise to the CDW rip-off, the rentals are looking
for new scams.
Comments please, Bill Velek, on the class action merits of this new scam?
