Members can earn points at all 27 locations throughout the valley -- at double the normal rate. On July 31, each location will have a special cash party with a list of the 250 winners and prizes (members pick up their cash at the PT Pub where they earned the most points). The top point earner will get $7,500, second receives $5,000. The rest of the top 10 gets at least $1,000, and everyone on the list gets at least $50. Plus, your points can be redeemed for machine credits at a rate of 2000 points equals $1. >>
Darn, I don't have time to scout 27 bars - I don't even drink, to give me an excuse. Any one know of any good VP in any of these to make this promo worthwhile?

The VP is mostly of the 98% return variety: 7/5 Bonus, Very Ugly
Ducks, 9/6 DB, etc. I've seen various exceptions to the rule, but
nothing within .5% of positive EV. There are promos and mailers that
push the EV over the top on occasion, such as quad-of-the-day bonuses,
etc. I'm not sure if they're affiliated with that Gambler's Bonus
bar-VP slot club.
On the positive side, if you want to visit your local PT's to scout,
the trip won't be wasted as they have a terrific "bar food" menu at
very reasonable prices. They make one of the best cheeseburgers in
town IMHO.
