Hi, I'm new to Las Vegas and am looking to kill some free time by playing some video poker in a +EV way.
I checked out the reward programs listings and how close the casinos are to me. I'm pretty close to both the Palms and Gold Coast, both of which have 25c FPDW (which I am very comfortable playing), and just from the numbers it looks like the Palms is the best, but I also read something about positive return machines not being eligible for rewards. If I picked the Gold Coast I don't know if I'd ever play enough to get to the highest tier because I'm a bit of a newbie and don't know how much I'll like doing it.
Also I'm pretty ignorant of 2x, 3x, etc. point days but I see them on billboards from time to time. Is there a list of these for casinos that gets updated?
And this may seem like a silly question, but can you get booted from casinos for playing on their positive return machines constantly?
If I am just going to limit my play to one casino for now, would someone recommend something other than the Palms, or is that definitely a good one? Bankroll requirements aren't really a concern, so if there is something I can do for $1, $5, or $10 bets that has a better expected return I'd be willing to go for that as well.
Any other advice? I know I need to buy a copy of the ACG for some good coupons. And yes, I already read the FAQ and have read through a few pages of posts, but man this seems like a really active group, don't know if I'll ever be able to keep up. Sorry if anything in my post is a major faux pas!
