New Orleans

I will be visiting Harrah's in New Orleans for the first time, and
would appreciate any info you can give me about their VP games, where
to play, where to eat, what to see. I'm really excited about the
visit, and will be there for 6 days and would like to take advantage
of everything I can. Is Harrah's the only casino in town?

If you know a good host I can contact while there, that would be great.

I am a 7* player, and would like to know about their rooms, the
diamond (or 7*) lounge, if they have one. How does it compare to the
ones in Vegas?

Becca

Cody Simon is an excellent host and generally works evenings.
the Harrahs hotel is very nice and the corner suites are very spacious.
the diamond lounge is called the palm room, and is open from about
noon to at least midnight. in the evening they have hot snacks which
are generally fried, but tasty. I believe they have cheese and fruit
out all day. Drinks are free in the lounge and on the floor, but be
careful with your TR card, I left mine in a machine about a year ago
and it has been used several times by someone looking to get 'premium'
drinks on the floor and this person has tripped me at least 3 times.
They say they have tried, but have not really done anything to clear
out my near zero trips from this other person.
gold and platinum players get limited free drinks on the floor, so
diamond and 7* cards have some 'extra' value.

good luck and have fun, Nola has the best food around!

Landry's Restaurant, going towards the French Quarters, has excellent oysters on the half-shell.
