NEW ORLEANS at Christmas with Teenagers

From Harrahscasino forum: <<We've had great thanksgiving dinners twice in the last few years at Caf Adelaide across South Peters street from Harrah's Hotel. Fellow diners included couples and several family groups. Their bar is great anytime. When we were there both the restaurant and bar were compatible by Harrah's. >>

Would minors (teenagers) be allowed in there?

We are having our family Christmas in New Orleans, as we did last year. Always looking for good places to eat with and activities for our two grandchildren, who are now 15 and 16. It takes a bit of planning since the kids can't go into any restaurant within the casino.

My host said she would put $500 in RCs on our account since this is a 7* trip. I guess the bummer about that is that most partner restaurants are now 2 for 1. So our $500 turns into $250. :frowning:

I believe the only restaurants OUTSIDE the casino where your RCs can be used 1 to 1 are the following: Gordon Biersch, Grand Isle, and Ruth's Chris Steak House. Am I correct with this information? I believe all casinos INSIDE the casino are still 1 to 1, right?

And I believe room service is still 1 to 1. The kids love that - and when we bring them in Fuddruckers!

Jean -- when I took my 7 Stars trip to Harrah's New Orleans a couple of years ago I could only use my $500 credit for restaurants IN the casino. I don't know if that has changed since then, but I would double check with your host before you count on using them at outside restaurants.

Have fun! We'll be there in January. Can't wait!

It's not as much fun, but the $500 credit for 7stars should also apply to
your room service bill. I can't remember if the current hotel setup for the
new Harrah's New Orleans has room service, but you might supplement the
other great NO cuisine that way.

Then again, room service for teenagers might be fun for them.

I am sure your coordinating host will be able to confirm one way or another.
