Checked out the new Casino Niagara Fallsview this weekend and what a
disappointment. I don't think there are many more games in the new
casino than was in the old casino and I don't the total square
footage of the casino is much more bigger either.
Off course there are more dining and shopping options but who
cares. Niagara Falls is full of shopping and dining anyway. Most
of the BJ at Fallsview was $25 minimum.
The Fallsview casino is not running any promotions and the old
casino Niagara is cutting back on promotions as well. The new
casino sure does have a grand entrance full of marble floors and
pillars but I think they have tightened up the machines to pay for
it.
The pay tables at Fallsview are lousy. 7/5 JOB, 9/6 DB and short
pay pickem. You can find dollar 8/5 JOB and apparently there is $5
pick'em but I didn't check.
There is still 50 cent pick'em at the old Casino Niagara. I hit my
first 4 of kind pick'em there this weekend. I've only played
pick'em a few times. In the past you could never get on this small
group of machines, about six, but with the new casino now open there
are less people at Casino Niagara.
I also checked out Seneca Niagara and I wanted to add that I found
some $1 pick'em games near the center bar. I couldn't find the
quarter bonus poker games though. If anyone could point out exact
locations please post it. You can play 50 cent and $1 bonus poker
at Seneca which along with pick'em games at both Seneca and Casino
Niagara are the best games in the Niagara region.
Also there is no longer quarter pick'em at Casino Niagara. Casino
Niagara removed a whole floor of games including the last 25 cent
pick'em. With the exchange rates so lousy (30% compared to 50% a few
years ago) it might be wise for most video poker players to stick
with Seneca. Strike one for the Indians over the Canadians.
Cheers!
