New Nevada State Law?

Received a letter today from Connection Card (Caesars):

... "Starting in January 2004, Nevada State law requires us to
maintain only single Connection Card accounts. The account you
currently hold for both you and [spouse] will be split into two
accounts" ...

What is the logic behind this law, some sort of privacy issues or
to ensure both spouses have credit cards, etc. in the event of a
divorce?

David

We had been told this was going to take place and that the reason was two
fold. 1st there are other states that only allow individual and NO joint
accounts (New Jersey for sure) and with merging of their Nationwide programs
they needed to be Identical, but probably more important was the IRS Tax
regulations requirements. Tom
