Does anybody know of any scheduled slot, vp or poker tournaments at any of the Caesars' properties in early ( to the 14th) March.

I haven't been to New Mexico since 1997. My knowledge of machines was limited then. I did see some advantage slots there, but there wasn't enough to hold me in that spot. My options then were to play poker in New Mexico, and maybe pick up a little advantage slot money, or go back to Nevada as there was strong video poker across the state and lots of advantage slots. I chose the latter option.
But through a several year period, about 1998 to 2006, I got some very interesting reports from hustler friends who were working New Mexico. This infomation has got to be way outdated but heres some of the things I heard:
I had one friend holed up at either the racino in Riudoso or the casino at Mescalero. He was working live Blackjack promotions. At certain hours of the day you got bonuses for certain combinations of cards. He said he had about a 3% edge just using basic strategy. He also worked the Omaha-Hi-Lo game in the poker room. In his words "the game was wide open, huge pots."
Then there was a play that him and some of my other friends didn't care to let me know about until it was over. There was a 4 machine multi-game $1 video poker progressive (1% meter) at Riudoso. All the games were low payback....except for FPDW. This was a straight through play, but they didn't work it like that. When the royal approached $6000 my buddy would call another friend of mine in Laughlin, who would drive over to Riudoso with enough people to tie all 4 machines up. They had a good time laughing at me when the play went extinct. They knew if they had told me anything about it I would have been there in a New York minute.
I had a couple of friends that were working advantage slots at Sunland Park, near El Paso. Evidently, there was enough there that a few guys could make a pretty good living out of the joint.
There were Flush Attacks, linked and unlinked, at Santa Ana Star in Bernalillo.
Isleta, just south of Albuquerque had a 9/6 Jacks quarter progressive with a strong meter. They also had full pay unlinked Flush Attacks. And one of those Flush Attacks was super full pay--though the payscale said a regular flush payed 5 for 1, it actually paid 6 for 1, bring the payback up to 103.2%. The last I heard a slot tech put the machine on the slowest speed.

Like Mickey said there WAS a lot of playable machines there in that golden era of late 90s/early 00s. I remember a bunch of $1 IGTs at Isleta, a bank of 50 cent fireworks, $5 door prize, $5 cherry pie at SA Star. Sandia had a bunch of lower denoms, including some rare South American branded wongable slots. There were also great games for card counters at many of the Albuq. area casinos.
But those you could say the same thing about Kansas City, Denver, Tunica, cruise ships , etc. But that fun ended a few years ago.
