Hi George,
I wish that your post had expressed some of the "joie de vivre" that
your "glee4ever" address would indicate.
Vpdaughter, could have been my daughter. In fact, I thought it WAS
my daughter until I learned differently.
I can absolutely assure you, that, because I have no interest in
seeing shows, viewing other Vegas attractions or eating in 5* Star
restaurants during my frequent LV sojourns, that I am not a suitable
candidate for Gamblers Anonymous.
In my non-vacation life, I live in the suburbs of a very large city
(Chicago) where I have the opportunity to see great shows, visit
world class museums, and eat in marvelous rstaurants. None of those
very pleasant activities are what cause me to board a plane and fly
3 1/2 hours to Nevada!
Additionally, I visit LV 6-8 times every year. I have done this for
the last 10 years, and less frequently for the preceeding 20 years.
There is not much new to see in LV that I haven't already seen.
I suspect that the same is true of vpdaughter's mother. Much as I
do, she visits LV to PLAY VP!
Rather than lecture this lovely woman, who is trying to be the most
of thoughtful of daughters, I would congratulate her for being the
epitomy of what every mother would cherish, a truly caring child.
You go girl!

Take her to a show to introduce her to life besides gambling (for
her it is no longer gaming!). This is probably the best gift you
can give her.
