Anybody that understands the LVH comp/CB system is
a modern Gunga Din, i.e. a better man than me. I
stayed there three separate times my last trip to LAS
and spoke to a host once. He said starting 9/1 I would
drop to casino rate instead of comped room benefits
because they were tightening up their requirements. I
played a LOT of $1 bartop Pick'Em and walked out with
$192 in CB. I have not got one comp offer from them
since around 7/15. The only offer I have from them at
the moment is three nights 10/12 through 10/14 or so
and a slot tournament for $99. A pretty good deal but
I do NOT pay for hotel rooms in LAS! I am going to be
there then; my next trip is 10/2 through 10/17 but I
think I will be at the Rio or Harrah's that weekend,
have not yet made my room reservations. I have noticed
that the room comp offers are slowing down, it is
still pretty easy Sun through Thurs but only about 3
or 4 stores offer me weekend comps anymore. My main
hangout, Casino Royale used to send me a coupon for
two nights anytime a month, occasionally for 3 nights
but now they only give a $25 discount on Friday and
Saturday, for example.
For those of you that know my ways, the next Comp
Hustler's seminar will be at the Casino Royale some
evening between 10/7, a Friday and the following
Wednesday. I will let my good friend Scot Krause set
the exact date if he can make it one of those evenings
since he has to coordinate with a baby sitter. This
will be a solo trip for me again, and I do hate to eat
alone. My wife will accompany me on my annual
Thanksgiving trip and we will probably do it then also
for any of you that can not make the October dinner.
