Been to Laughlin several times but not since about 2000 so these comments may be somewhat dated:
1. Boring, boring compared to Vegas, but maybe that's not always a bad thing. A little warmer, too, which is good in the winter, bad in the summer.
2. Mediocre rooms but very reasonable, $19 a night used to be common even for non-gamblers.
3. Standard American food, if you like ethnic or true gourmet, not much there.
4. River Palms when I visited last had the widest selection of good vp, and it was a fairly clean casino.
5. River setting is good but casinos could have done more with it.
6. Can get there by bus but most people would want a car to get there and to get around.
7. Two movie theatres, and you can go the movies as early as 9 a.m. or as late as midnight.
8. Las Vegas has the Blue Man Group, Laughlin has the Blue Hair Group.
Hope this is of help,
Mike

Gee no one with any opinions on Laughlin?!? My wife and I would
appreciate your thoughts.

Hi all. My wife and I will be going to Laughlin for the first
time
as a side trip from Phoenix at the end of the month. I am
familiar
with Vegas, but know almost nothing about Laughlin. We would like
to play some quarter FPDW and I would like to find some good 2
deck
blackjack. Any suggestions on where to play or stay? I'm not
sure
if our action will qualify for any room comps. Also I'd
appreciate
hearing any other comments or situations that we should be aware
of.
Thanks!
