that is actually pretty close to buddhism...my current recommendation
is to request the 12 cd collection of alan watts lectures
entitled "out of your mind" from the lv library system...highly
entertaining and informative...
by the way buddhism is an outgrowth of hinduism...with hinduism being
closely tied to the social culture of india and therefore less easily
adaptable by foreigners...anyway this is a bit off topic, so i will

Another note: Deepak Chopra regularly quotes from the Bible as well as from Buddhist, Hindu, and other religions' literature. That is his main attraction for me - he does not limit God to being the special leader for one narrow set of beliefs. Being judgmental and narrow-minded (especially about religion) is a human characteristic, not a "god" one - and has caused much war and human suffering down through the ages, continuing today.
I will not discuss this any more here, not because it isn't very important to me, but because it is definitely not VP related.
And peace to all of you who hold different beliefs - or non-beliefs!
